On the 5th Day are super excited to welcome two very powerfull techno acts to our impromptu August dance: Northern Electronics’, Acronym who will be joined by Boston 168 who make their official London debut!
Boston 168 is an analogic duo that through sound production aim to redefine a peculiar field of the electronic sound, Acid Techno. Sergio Pace and Vincenzo Ferramosca are two electronic researchers who have spent years working on vivisecting sound in order to create new solutions for the techno substance. The two young producers take their audiences on techno voyages at traditional speed. Their meticulous work mixes up the acoustics of the traditional machines which made the history of techno, Roland Tr909, tr707, Moog Mother 32 and other technological hardware and the feedback of the international techno community is huge.
After the mindblowing performance of Abdulla Rashim at our last party we couldn’t help but invite Northern Electronics’ Acronym to jointly headline our next event. Acronym is distinguished by being the most functional of the Northern Electronics group, moving between intense repetitive, moving melodic passages, moments of bleak, stripped-down intensity and hard, bleepy minimalism; complexity and emotionalism are his distinguishing marks. This is music vastly different from the hard, heads-down, industrial mainstream of modern techno.
