DISCO BLOODBATH
As Spring rounds the corner, we are onto our second party of the year and give you another debut DJ performance. Disco Bloodbath are three chaps that have been throwing riotous monthly parties in various basements and unique spaces around East London since 2007. Last year they were voted third best night in the country by Mixmag and have recently been guest DJ’ing at esteemed clubs and parties such as Horse Meat Disco, Warehouse Project, matter, Fabric and secretsundaze. Not content with holding exquisite parties that have seen the likes of Optimo, Rub N Tug and Nadia Ksabia play at Bloodbath towers, the guys have recently produced a remix for the new Franz Ferdinand single ‘Ulysses’ and put together one of the most talked about Resident Advisor podcasts of the year. Disco Bloodbath promise a soundtrack of ecstasy disco, spaced out Italo, shiny proto house, Manhattan re-edits, forgotten wild pitch classics, strung-out pop noir, thumping bitch trax and music that goes bump in the night. Now if that doesn’t sound fantastic we don’t know what does.
HEADS UP!
Also playing this month we have our friends Heads Up! making their Polaroid debut. If you have been to any parties in LS6 over the last 12 months you will no doubt come across these guys laying down there own blend of Detroit techno, Baltimore beats, French house and Yorkshire bass lines. If you haven’t then you may have attended one of their very successful events at the Faversham where they have showcased the talents of Diplo, Boy 8-Bit, Surkin and Mr Flash amongst others. If you haven’t caught them then where have you been? You know where to rectify it…
