Al Zanders aka Lodger (A-Z) from UK
Alex Buchan (Al Zanders AKA Lodger) of the Sheffield-based collective/ events team ‘Banana Hill’ has been bubbling away in the background for quite some time now. Focusing their efforts on “Global Sounds” Lodger is just one of the byproducts that came from this diverse team of vinyl-heads.
The rapidly growing young hopeful has already got a few releases under his belt – most notably his Fela Kuti remixes ‘ODOO / Afro Cuts’ on Stamp Records, which received two represses and sold out. Phonica accurately analysed them saying: “two superb reinterpretations that are part edit, part remix and all parts dancefloor dynamite.”
He returned to Stamp with a couple more edits ‘Herbie’s Jam / Oliver’; this time with a more Jazz-infused vibe but just as effective. The 12″ sold out yet again and repressed within weeks.
He now looks to bring his Al Zanders guise to life with the ‘Slender’ and ‘Limb Valley’ EPs which focus a lot more on his own productions. Off the back of this he has yet more Al Zanders work incoming including EPs, singles and remixes alongside some the UK’s leading underground dance labels. Tipped as one of Stamp The Wax’s ‘One’s to watch of 2016’ he’s sure to have a promising year.

東京発のHOLE AND HOLLAND RECORDINGSのDJ、プロデューサー。
HOUSE、DISCOを中心に音質と展開を重視し、その場、その雰囲気に合った繊細かつユーモアのある選曲を得意とする。
作品は、これまでに12インチを２枚、フルアルバムを１枚リリースしている。
多数のコンピレーションやアーティストのアルバムに参加するなど制作面でも勢力的な動きをみせる。
MUZONOとのユニット”CHELOOK”の1st ALBUM “SHIFT” では、InterFMやNIKEのPVに使用され話題となる。
2012年 にはV.A “RIDE MUSIC” の収録曲 “ALL SET TO GO” のALTZ REMIXと自身によるREMIXを、2013年にはソロ作品 “HEAVY MOON EP” を12インチでリリースし、国内外多数のDJによってプレイされる。
またKIRIN HEARTLAND BEERやアパレルブランドなどの広告音楽をプロデュースしたり、人気ブランド”SON OF THE CHEESE”にMIXCDを提供している。
Ustream番組のDOMMUNEでは『スケボークラブ』を２度企画、出演し2万人を超える視聴者を獲得しDJ、LIVEで注目を集める。
現在はDENKI SHOCK at 神宮前BONOBO、UP↑ at 中野heavysick ZEROでレギュラーパーティーを開催している。
