Montréal producer Jacques Greene is one of those producers who’d rather let the music do the talking than get wrapped up in transient fashions and trends. Maintaining a steady output of distinct and deep dancefloor burners, Greene is more concerned with mastering his craft than masterminding any meteoric rise to the top. With past releases on LuckyMe, 3024 and Night Slugs, he fused two-step rhythms with breathy synth work and R&B vocals to create neon-spangled atmospheres. With seven years of impressive output to his name, Greene is finally gearing up for the release of his debut full-length, and Red Bull Music Academy is teaming up with the hometown hero to bring his new live A/V show to Montréal’s awe-inducing Bain Mathieu, formerly home to a public bath. Support will come from British Numbers and Local Action affiliate Deadboy, as well as Montréal’s ethereal pop specialist Michele Nox and Academy participants.
