Optimo Music & Optimo Trax presents “Immigrant Tracks”, the label’s first ever Glasgow showcase, put together by JD Twitch.
With 20 releases in 2016, a total of 70 releases now out across the labels and a sizeable roster of distinctive artists, when La Cheetah invited the label to do an event, it felt like the right time to put together a night of music in the label’s home town.
This night will showcase the diverse talent and disparate geographic provenance of the label, and showcase the live prowess of three of the acts we release music by.

Next up, making their Scottish debut, direct from Italy will be female / male advanced techno duo, UNDERSPRECHE who have had two 12” releases on Optimo Trax and have their debut album (which is going to blow minds) out in December. Finally, UK based, Australian / American female / male duo THE GOLDEN FILTER will also make their Scottish debut. They combine hypno synth music with state of the art sound design and treated vocals to forge a unique sonic identity. With an already extensive catalogue under their belts they will release their new album on Optimo Music in early 2017. Last year they had a split EP on Optimo Trax and a full EP on Optimo Music. On dj duties: IONA FORTUNE who has her debut album scheduled for release in early 2017 on Optimo Music will play a few records at the start of the night before the live performances start, and label head honcho JD TWITCH will play the last set of the night, showcasing music from the labels and beyond.
