Ben Parkinson (boe) and Alex Rajkovic (MassTransit) aim to bring boe artists, DJs and friends to the intimate surroundings of Roadtrip. Having previously run successful parties in London with guests such as Agnes, Trimsound, Frankie, Glimpse and Tom Demac, Ben and Alex will be showcasing the sounds of the extended boe family and great DJs and artists who are currently making people stand up and take notice. Making no exceptions for the launch party; Vernon our good friend from Belgium, Eurostars in for a DJ set performing under his Lust Addict moniker. Born in Belgium in 1978, Vernon Bara's first contact with electronic music and DJing came in 1994. By 2000, he began producing his own tracks, and in the same year, his first ep was signed by Koenie on a sub-label of Wallys Groove World. Since then, Vernon has had over 50 EPs and remixes released either as solo projects or with his various production partners on labels like: OM, Sensei, Icon , DoubleDown, Guesthouse, Polyphonics, Strobe, Greenhouse and Amenti to name a few.
His releases now feature on mixes across the world from Japan to Germany, but most notably on the Fabric, Ministry of Sound & Renaissance compilations. His production have led to Dj and Live sets performed in some of Belgium's top club, such as the Fuse, Cafe d'Anvers, Decadance and Pure, as well as clubs across the UK, France, Poland, Germany and Spain.
In 2006, Vernon steered his productions in a more underground direction under his Lust Addict guise, with his first release on Obsolete records. Further releases and remixes have appeared on top tech-house and minimal labels Toys For Boys, Playground (a Lessizmore subsidiary) and Immigrant.
His DJ sets have always left us floored both by his impeccable selections & his technical proficiency, and we are very excited to welcome Vernon back to the UK after his last set with us nearly two years ago.
