SOLUTION SOUND SYSTEM
Any lover of roots reggae music that has spent a summer in London will have come across Solution
Sound System. Famous in the capital for stringing up their sound at various outdoor events, they
have been a consistent fixture since the end of the 90’s and have played side by side with some of
the UK’s biggest sounds, including Saxon, Sir Coxsone , King Tubbys, Channel One and Aba-Shanti-I.
After many years of hard work, 2012 saw Solution receive the ultimate acknowledgement as they
were granted the huge honour of taking over from Jah Observer at their legendary spot in London’s
Notting Hill Carnival. Entrusted with the task of ensuring that roots music of high quality continues
to play on Ledbury Road, they have not disappointed and have been praised for keeping the spirit of
this very special corner of carnival alive.
Musically, Solution offer a truly diverse selection of roots reggae which spans many eras, styles and
musical patterns. A typical Solution set will take in everything from foundation Studio One to
today’s freshest musical produce, including material from Mark Solution’s spin off label, Easy Beat
Productions.
The Easy Beat label was set up at the end of 2009 and has enjoyed successful releases with a variety
of artists including Earl 16, Sandeeno, Ital Horns and Eddie Rieband, as well as Solution MC; Poizon
and singer; Neville Grooves. Mark’s distinctive production style has caught the attention of sound
systems and selectors worldwide as well as enjoying airplay from national radio DJ’s including Don
Letts (BBC 6 Music), Steve Lamacq (BBC 6 Music) and Ras Kwame (Capital Xtra).

ROOTS SENSATION
Roots Sensation has been playing and collecting vinyl since 2001. His sessions range from deep rare roots, dub, early reggae, to heavy dubwise caracterised by the unique use of echos, delays and siren among his positive and spiritual message on the mic.
Carrying a varieties of crispy dubplates his selection is always a great experience full of good vibes and warm sound.
Always digging for roots rarities caracterised by heavy bass line, stepping roots drums reef and inspiring spiritual lyrics.
After moving to the UK in 2010 he started to become a regular name among the UK reggae scene working as a sound engineer recording vocals for songs and dubplates at his studio.
In 2012 together with two friends Roots Traders Records and his sub label Digital Traders were founded. In 2014 the record label Roots Traders started its own distribution and record store.
