Rainbow Disco Club - the hidden festival gem of Japan - is taking over Elevator for a night beyond space and time.
Headlining is San Proper (Rush Hour, Dekmantel, Trouw). Doctor Proper is a strong character, and it rubs off in his many musical endeavours - a famously unpredictable DJ who lays down party starting sets of house and disco, electro, afro and acid. He is also a charismatic live performer who places his own vocals and instrument playing skills at the centre of his show, while hardware and digital toys flesh out the grooves. And lastly, he is also an esteemed producer of often feral house and techno sounds on quality labels like Rush Hour and Perlon. Passionate and full of energy, San Proper has played on every major continent and when he does, he never fails to lay down real, raw musical experiences that never fails to be full of surprises. He melted our hearts last year in Japan and we can't wait for his first Shanghai show.
Supporting the Dutchman are Japanese RDC veterans Sisi & Kikorix. Besides the festival, they are regulars at clubs like Vent, Womb, Contact and Air. Rounding it up are local cats Carlos Gibbs (one of the festival's founders) and Mau Mau.
