The second edition of SOU, the festival of contemporary music and visual arts will be held in Tbilisi from May 5 to July 5, 2017
This year’s theme is “Another Sea.”
It is none of the specific seas; nor to the east, or to the west, nor the black sea, or any other. Another sea is an imaginary sea, which takes over the existing flows and streams around the territory, and opens up an entirely new mindset.
Just as last year, our subjects of interest are: musical experiments, contemporary researches in sound, composition and their visual representation, and reinterpreting the spaces of performance. The program of 2017 combines a wide range of genres and methods of musical and visual expression.
May 15, 2017 - The festival will open on the arena of Tbilisi circus, with Georgian artist, Tetenoise and Quartet of strings.
July 5, 2017 – The Festival will close at Tbilisi State Opera House of Georgia, with an audio-visual performance by Hatsune Miku and Kiichiro Shibuya, a vocaloid opera, “The End’
