If you know about Bay Area house music, then you know about DJ MFR. In 1997, along with friends Miguel Migs and Bruno Ybarra of Naked Music fame, he founded Transport Recordings. Now a well-established indie dance label with excellent underground dance music, Transport has garnered a large and loyal following with a roster that has showcased such heavyweights as DJ Rasoul, Vincent Kwok, Arnold Jarvis, and Migs and MFR themselves.
With West Coast Excursion series of mix CDs on the label, MFR seamlessly blends the label's releases into a perfect capsule of the San Francisco sound. This event will celebrate his 4th volume in this mix CD series.
Chris Lum (Moulton Studios)
Chris Lum's influence on house music has been vast, from DJing all over the globe to producing tracks for major labels like Defected and Strictly Rhythm to running Moulton Studios, the epicenter for electronic music production in San Francisco. Come check out Chris where it all started: behind the decks in San Francisco.
