Pumpkin Patch and Furthur Project have combined forces to bring you a night of merriment and mind-tickling techno. No, we’re not confined to the formalities of a club… we have managed to find a rather special venue – a venue so special that not using to its full potential would be considered ‘sinful’ by many. Aside from its physical attributes, the audio element will no doubt do it justice.
Marc Ashken is positive proof that minimal techno hasn’t faded in the least; creative and experimental, he transcends the archetype and sheds new light over the genre. With releases on a string of labels, collaborations with James Talk and has been recently remixed by John Dahlback... praise comes highly from the likes of Paolo Mojo & John Tejada.
Marc’s alliances lie with Matt Tolfrey’s Leftroom Records, which is now one of the main UK exporters of minimal and micro techno. Marc is Matt’s production partner and is now one of the maestros of the Leftroom team and has just returned from headlining the Wolf & Lamb party at the WMC in Miami.
This year Marc has released EP’s on Leftroom under his full name MarcAshken and labels Esperanza and Archipel under his alias Soz Adams. ‘Have You Seen My Dancing Shoes’ is Marc’s debut album on Leftroom. It is a collection of tracks and skits taken from a period of 6 months where his whole focus was on this project. There is a mix of breakbeat, techno, minimal and downtempo – an eclectic mix that is rare to find in a single album. Marc Houle from M_nus follows on with his own interpretation of some of Marc’s tracks – all in all, “the album results in a concoction of pure techno bliss.”
See you all there
