About Selek’d Gruves
Selek'd Grüves is musical journey combing the eclectic vibes of well-established connoisseurs across generations and genres to bring it all together in a selective ambiance that opens up different worlds. Resident DJS Farib Alvarez, Sted-E & Hybrid Heights have spent the last two years establishing NY venues following from Queens to Tribeca in such venues as Flo, Meridian 23, Adoro Lei & Novecento. In addition to national venue, Sted-E & Hybrid Heights have played international venues & festivals from the UK, Holland to Central & South America, establishing a global presence.
Farib Alvarez has been part of the ‘house’ music scene since the late 1980’s he has performed as a backup/stage dancer, choreographed routines for artists and dance companies, held positions in A&R, managing and advising artists, djs and remixers in the studio during production and on tour. Mastering his DJ skills with a diverse catalog that ranges from Disco, Freestyle, Dance & New Wave/Alternative to the newest releases and remixes from legendary producers has led Farib to brand his distinctive style as Selek'd House Grüves.
Sted-E & Hybrid Heights have quickly ascended into the upper echelon of dance music producers with their monster productions and remixes. Their groundbreaking sound has lead to impressive remix work, making them “the go to producers” for some of dance music’s most respected artists and labels since 2009. Having topped global charts, and with almost a dozen Top 10 Billboard Club remixes, Sted-E & Hybrid Heights landed several appearances on the global festival circuit and on Sirius XM.
Recently, the duo released an EP on Juicy Music entitled Rockin Beats, following the release of their first album entitled, “See You Move”, with a track featuring vocals by Mr. V, and with the title track becoming their first original top 10 Billboard Club hit.
RescuePoetix has organized such events as fund raisers, poetry events, label launch party, events at WMC and has worked events in the NY/NJ Arts scene since 2009. RESCUEPOETIX ™ is a writer, poet, spoken word artist and recording artist in addition to being a businesswoman. Her management experience developed along with her own career, working domestically and internationally since 2009. Her work includes artist development, networking and marketing as well as bookings for artists in New Jersey, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Maryland/DC and Miami. With international ties that touch all corners of the world and across several artistic communities, her solid reputation with management and consulting creates opportunities for an international mainstream presence.
RescuePoetix™ has sponsored numerous community events in Jersey City. Coming on board to collaborate with Soulful Cypher founders in 2014, her involvement includes artist review, talent booking, promotions, marketing, contract negotiation and media sourcing.
