Safety Scissors is not just a member of Ellen Allien’s popular BPitch control label based out of Berlin, but he is also a mainstay from San Francisco’s early aughts synthesizer and dub-techno scenes. Once a member of the local Context Records/Beliefs System collective, he worked alongside Kit Clayton and Matmos before the years even hit the second decade of the millennium. His work has travelled from ambient to techno, synth electronics, to electronica vocal pop. He shows no signs of stopping with his current gigs in Berlin with BPitch and so much more — although he’s stopping back in to say to his friends here in San Francisco for the most intimate of the nights.
