This concept night takes place on the 1st Sat of each month.
Through DJ/VJ and live audio/visual performance, Minimalism explores seasonal ambience, atmospheres and sensibilities.
Using clips recorded with dictaphones and camcorders (amongst other means!) through the month, performers play live sessions, making live arrangements on laptops. As well as seasonal DJ sets and projections of our favourite clouds!
This series of nights take place in the concrete bar of The Hayward on the Southbank, with excellent acoustics and atmosphere, a nicely stocked bar and outdoor seating for the concrete sunset.
Each month we welcome along special guests to play live and this month we have dub KULT.

If you're not familiar with dub, he's been making music in ole London town for a long time now and has released on highly regarded labels such as Raum, Traum, Arcola, Thinner and his own label, Living. He will be playing an audio-visual set, his 'bleeding edge live AV set with integrated improvised music and live triggered/generated visuals'.
The Minimalists will be on DJ duty, as well as doing a live interactive sampling session, so bring along something (seasonal) that makes a sound, plant pot, umbrella, pair of sandals, ice cream tub, a TV to smash, what ever! We'll sample it and work it into the groove, it'll probably be fun :)
It's all FREE all night, and it's a nice place to start your Saturday night, so whether you want to pop in for a drink early, or late, or stay the duration, we hope to see you there at some point! (half prices drinks before 7pm!)
