2007年にロンドンの今は無き伝説のベニュー The END/AKA にて産声をあげた Tomoki Tamura 率いる広義のハウスパーティー HOLIC が2017年で10周年を迎える。
今回のアニバーサリーでは、HOLIC の創立者でレーベル HOLIC TRAX オーナー、近年では Tuccilloとのユニット Doublet としても注目を集める Tomoki Tamura と、立ち上げからのオリジナルメンバー / レジデント DJ であり、 Rainbow Disco Club や Tresvibes Soundsystem でも活躍する Kikiorix の2人が10年間の集大成のプレイを MAIN フロアで披露する。
VIP Lounge では、東京屈指のディガー Chee Shimizu 、前回の HOLIC でもプレイが好評だった Kitonoa、ITAL 主宰のレーベル LOVERS ROCK からのリリースや、DJ SOTOFETT のリミックスなどが支持されている日本人離れした奇怪な世界観を持つ Yoshinori Hayashi が登場。
また WOMB Lounge には、Sound of VAST を主宰する Knock 、4つ打ちをベースに幅広い選曲で定評がある Masayasu、HOLIC の DNA を色濃く継いでいる GREYHOUD を主宰する Kazizi 、バレアリックな選曲を得意とする Tatsuya Ouchi など、HOLIC 創立当時から今まで深く関わってきた仲間達が集結する。
この日の為に Holic London の現オーガナイザーも駆けつけるなど、10周年を祝福する特別な夜になる事は間違いないだろう。
HOLIC, the house party led by Tomoki Tamura that started in January 2007 in London's legendary, now-defunct club The END/AKA, had its 10th anniversary in 2017, and the anniversary party is being held on the 9th of September (Sat) at WOMB, Shibuya, Tokyo.
There won't be any guest DJs for this anniversary party, and the lineup will be focused on the original members; the main room's lineup will consist of Tomoki Tamura and Kikiorix, resident DJs since HOLIC's inception. At the VIP Lounge, there'll be Chee Shimizu, Tokyo's top music discoverer; KitoNoa, whose performance in the VIP Lounge at last year's HOLIC was well received; and Yoshinori Hayashi, an artist with a strange, distinctly un-Japanese worldview, whose releases from ITAL's label LOVERS ROCK and DJ SOTOFETT remixes have a substantial following. At the WOMB Lounge, we've got Knock, who runs Sound of VAST; Masayasu, who has a reputation for a wide variety of songs based around 4/4 rhythms; Kazizi, who runs GREYHOUD, which was strongly influenced by HOLIC; Tatsuya Ouchi, who specializes in Balearic beat music; and more of our friends who have been involved with HOLIC since the beginning. There's lots planned for this day, such as the organizer of HOLIC London making a special trip to Japan, and it'll surely be an amazing night to celebrate the 10 year anniversary.
