ADE Sound Lab is a multi-day program for (aspiring) music artists and music lovers, covering everything around sound, creativity and technology.
The program includes demo’s, workshops, masterclasses, expositions of conceptual & new instruments, audio-visual installations, modular synthesizers and live performances. Visitors can be introduced to the newest equipment from leading music brands at the Gear Test Lab and attend ‘ADE MusicTalks’: daily in-depth interviews with music legends such as Surgeon and Lady Starlight, Tiga and Soulwax, Gary Newman, DVS1, and many more.
Moreover, ADE Next is integrated into the Sound Lab program, which allows up and coming dj’s, musicians, producers and artists to test out new gear, attend studio sessions, obtain insights from experienced top of the bill artists, interact with likeminded musicians and connect with industry professionals.
ADE Sound Lab is also the place where people are challenged to be innovative in the search of creating their own sound. Therefore, ADE called for artists, designers and developers to send in project proposals under the theme ‘New & Emerging Instruments’. The following 8 projects have been selected and funded by ADE and Creative Industries Fund NL:

ADE Sound Lab takes place at Arts Centre De Brakke Grond, ADE’s festival heart, from Thursday 19th October - Saturday 21st October. De Brakke Grond will open its doors on Wednesday 18th October as official ADE festival heart.
