What got you to in to DJing?
To become a DJ was never really my intention. It was more a hobby next to my productions. But when I released "out of the blue", Ministry Of Sound asked me to do "Trance Nation" from which the first edition sold about 400,000 copies! So suddenly 400,000 people had a cd with my name on it and so the requests for me as a DJ came in. And I was lucky that the first clubs I played in were clubs like Cream, Passion and Slinky!

Do you have any CDs for the coming year (outside the next Trance Nation)?
There is a new Tsunami Compilation coming up with the title Tsunami 2 / Ferry Corsten and a new Global Trancemission on Moonshine U.S.

How was your latest tour of Australia compared to your debute in 2000?
This tour was better in such a way that people knew what to expect. They had seen me before and where up for that kind of music.

What also made it very interesting, is that I did the whole tour together with Anthony Pappa. We had great fun and it went down really well. In all the places we have been, the night was a complete rise! It was Anthony first with his deeper sound, who gave the night more energy until I took over from him to finish it off! So it was complete fun all the way.

Where do you most enjoy to play most?
I like to play everywhere in the world, but for me it's still the UK that is one of my favorites.

It started for me there, so it is a special place for me! In the summer in Europe, it's Ibiza of coarse. Party island #1! I also love to play in Japan. The Japanese scene is just crazy! ...but after this tour in Australia, I must say that I'm already looking forward to the next one!

Are you more focused on production or DJing at the moment?
I was more focused on DJing for a while, but at this moment I'm back in the studio a lot more and I have a lot of new material coming out in the next few weeks/months!

Do you see yourself DJing in 10 years from now?
I'm not sure. Only time will tell. So far I really enjoy what I'm doing and it looks that it will be like that for the next couple of years. It also depends on the whole production site.

Who has inspired you?
I don't really know. I've always been a great fan of eighties music, but I've never had a real idol. It's just the music itself that really inspired me, I think.

When your not working on music what keeps you busy?
I'm just hanging out with my family, friends, do some sports like squash, running and watch movies.
