Around 2015, TURNLAND was founded by friends who transferred the DIY aesthetic of their shared punk socialisation into their musical and political approach to electronic music and club culture in general.
TURNLAND has never been bound to a specific sub-genre of electronic music.
Therefore, TURNLAND covers a wide spectrum of different styles and artists. Between club-oriented releases by DUSA, FELICE, SHAN, LAUER, MAZE, VRIL & HMV, GUSTAAF or COCO COBRA, there are also experimental releases like the sacral ambient album "be the enemy" by AGE ETERNAL or the "no future dubs" by TOTO BELMONT & MESSER, which is located somewhere between German Wave and Dub-Techno.
Ultimately, the musical selection for TURNLAND is more a question of when and where, relying on friendship and feeling rather than hype or clicks.
