The Music Label project of Witches Are Back collective came to life in 2020.
It is nurtured by the music content produced by the artists that gave contribution to the activism initiatives and event production work of the collective in over 10 years activity.
Many artists published by the label are also fixed working members of the collective.
The sound delivered by the voices of this independent movement is mostly pretty dark, emotionally dense, cold and hypnotic, angry and energizing, sinking the subconscious mind, exploring the fields of many music styles like techno, electro, breakbeat, experimental electronica, EBM, industrial, punk, connected by a fil-rouge, or we can say, in this case, a fil-noir.
About Witches Are Back:
Witches Are Back is an independent female identified artists collective, originated from diverse underground scenes, disconnected from mainstream business' dynamics, with a strong political focus on intersectional transfeminist activism and explicit esoteric contents.
The project was born in Rome in 2010 and moved to Berlin in 2015, where magical beings from all over the world have joined the team.
The aim is to give underground artists more sexism free and queer safe spaces to express themselves in professionally organized events that include art performances, exhibitions, concerts and clubbing, to promote and support creative talent, giving new impulses to alternative cultures. In 2020 Witches Are Back gives life to a music label and a radio broadcast.
