  • Metasplice have released their debut album, Infratracts, through Morphosis's Morphine Records. As Juno Plus report, the LP was released this week with little in the way of promotion. Kenneth_Lay and V. Hold debuted their noise-soaked techno project last year with two low-key releases—a limited cassette-only outing on Injections Limited and the Topographical Interference 12-inch on Morphine. The two EPs outlined the Metasplice sound: a chugging, distorted slant on techno that has parallels with the uncompromising work of Container and Hieroglyphic Being. The duo kicked off 2013 with another 12-inch on Morphine, Decant/Churn. In recent times Kenneth_Lay has earned plaudits for this work with Jason Carr as _moonraker, with the recent M Type EP for Great Circles set to be followed by a 12-inch for The Trilogy Tapes.
