- Paul Rose is reissuing his debut album, as well as putting out a VA compilation and a full-length of unreleased solo material.
Scuba will release three LPs to mark ten years of his influential party and label Sub:Stance.
Paul Rose launched Sub:Stance with Paul Fowler, AKA Paul Spymania, at Berghain in 2008, before starting the spin-off label—and closing the party—in 2013. The first release in the anniversary series will take it back to the year it all started, presenting a reissue of Rose's 2008 album, A Mutual Antipathy. Out on October 19th, the updated version, called A Mutual Antipathy: Revisited, will feature the 11 original tracks, plus remixes and edits from Martyn, Surgeon, Marcel Dettmann and more.
Then, in November, Rose will release SUB:STANCE In Retrograde, a ten-track LP of previously unheard cuts made around the time of A Mutual Antipathy and 2010's Triangulation. He'll follow that up with a 29-track VA compilation featuring a mix of unreleased and previously vinyl-only cuts by the likes of Shackleton, Vex'd, Untold, Mala, Skream and Peverelist. Rose also contibuted to the release, which is titled Sounds of SUB:STANCE.
