- The Berghain resident's fourth full-length arrives via the Berlin club's in-house label in February.
Ostgut Ton is releasing Efdemin's next LP, New Atlantis, in 2019.
The Berghain resident's fourth full-length takes its name from English philosopher Sir Francis Bacon's unfinished novel and draws inspiration from the novel's "'sound houses,' which contain musical instruments capable of recreating the entirety of the sounds of the universe," according to the press release. It's his first LP since 2014's Decay on Dial Records, the home of his three previous albums. New Atlantis spans eight tracks and will arrive on February 19th.
Efdemin, real name Phillip Sollmann, will host two album release shows in 2019, one at his Berlin home in February and then at London's Village Underground in March. His collaborative EP with Oren Ambarchi and Konrad Sprenger, called Panama / Suez, was released via Ostgut's sub-label A-TON in August.
