- It's part of the £1.57 billion pandemic relief package for UK culture.
There are finally some details on the UK government's £1.57 billion pandemic support package for the arts.
After initial uncertainty about which cultural spaces would be eligible for funding—the recent #LetUsDance campaign put pressure on the government to explicitly include clubs and festivals—Arts Council England has released guidance on how English cultural organisations can apply for the Cultural Recovery Grant.
Successful applicants can receive a minimum of £50,000, with support topping out at £3 million. "For this programme, we define 'cultural' as sitting within the remit of Arts Council England," the grant specifics state. Past ACE recipients include the likes of FOLD, Cafe OTO, Brownswood Recordings and Manchester Jazz Festival.
For more information, go to Arts Council England's website. The first round of applications open on August 10th and close on the 21st.
