  • Eliza Rose & Interplanetary Criminal have scored a #1 hit on the UK Singles Chart with their summer hit "B.O.T.A. (Baddest Of Them All)." The house track, which samples Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam's "Let The Beat Hit 'Em (LL W:Love RC Mix)," first entered the charts at #96, before rising to #45, then #10 and, last week, #2. Today, September 2nd, it unseated another dance music hit, LF System's "Afraid To Feel," which spent seven weeks at the top. "B.O.T.A. (Baddest Of Them All)" is also the UK's 1,400th #1 single and the first-ever #1 from a woman British DJ. The track began as a festival staple—including breakout moments at Glastonbury—before making its way onto radio. It's the first major hit for both artists. Watch the video for "B.O.T.A. (Baddest Of Them All)," and listen to August's Critics Roundtable podcast, which mentions the track.
