  • Radio Alhara is currently hosting a 12-hour global radio broadcast in solidarity with the people of Palestine. The stream, which the station announced via Instagram earlier today, November 15th, coincides with the 35th anniversary of the signing of the Palestinian Declaration of Independence. It's running from 11 AM to 11 PM GMT. "This day-long broadcast will feature sounds from the massive protests around the world, music, poetry and the voices of many globally who are mobilising with all their hearts and with love for Palestine," the post read. "For this broadcast, we encourage people in cities around the world to organise local listenings at cafés, in bookshops, in homes, community centres and beyond. FREE PALESTINE, FREE GAZA." Launched in Bethlehem in 2020, Radio Alhara is dedicated to raising awareness around the civil and human rights issues facing Palestinians living under Israeli occupation. The station is also hosting an event with Lebanese group SANAM at Berlin club Urban Spree this evening.
