- Downcast guitar pop from the talented LA-via-Amsterdam artist.
- Diego Herrera has carved out a prolific, remarkably diverse discography, spanning from contemplative New Age to leftfield club bangers. His latest single, On Our Hands / Waiting, indicates another stylistic left turn, this time towards traditional DIY rock songwriting. Building off the guitar-driven pieces on Talk From Home, Herrera picks up the mic on these two elegantly-bummed tracks. "Catch up on phone / Leave me reeling with these memories and talk of home," he intones on the '80s-inflected lockdown jam "On Our Hands." "Waiting (Single Version)," meanwhile, is grungy shoegaze pop laden with fuzz. This essential 7-inch hints at a forthcoming album of guitar songs no less accomplished than Herrera's electronic productions.
