- An uninspired attempt at motivation from the legendary producer.
- Caribou's sound has veered closer and closer to pop with some beautiful results. He's maintained those signature heartfelt sensibilities and packed them into euphoric, festival-ready hits. Sadly, "You Can Do It" tries a bit too hard to fit that mold. It's the kind of unbearably sugary song that call centres play to drive you into madness as you're left waiting on hold. The bland synth arrangements attempt to whip up a jubilant mood, but it feels forced. It's telling that the video accomplishes what the song can't: four minutes of dogs running through different landscapes, as happy as can be. Listen carefully and you'll hear the repeated "you can do it'' vocal sample modulated until it sounds like "good doggy," a bit of technical wizardry on an otherwise amateurish track.
