- Lethal techno from a Parisian producer on the rise.
- u.r.trax began her education in techno aged 14, shortly after she attended Tresor for the first time. Six years after that life-altering visit to the Berlin institution, the Parisian producer drops a 4-track EP, U R TRA$H, on Lobster Theremin, packed with lethal techno that wouldn't sound out of place in Tresor itself. "Dying Generation" is the easy standout here, with a Golem-like vocal hissing, "dying, dying," between red-hot drums and haunting synth lines. Although the soundscape is sinister, it loses nothing in rhythmic power (or causing scrunched-up rave faces)—a balanced blend of ominous moods and stomping techno.
