- Witchy, downtempo trance pop.
- If Enya made club music, it might sound like en9el se g4t, a collaboration between Alian Core and Volodymyr Gnatenko. This album is the kind of downtempo trance that's taking shape in Warsaw, as the Brutaż label head tipped me off to in an unrelated email. Coincidence? I don't think so. Singer, stylist and artist Alian Core has an almost magical air surrounding her, so it might as well be supernatural forces that brought this release to my attention. On the lead single "su4ziu," her cemetery-shrouded-in-mist aesthetic and choir-like voice is complemented by the detailed IDM-style ambient of Gnatenko's production. Her vocals are indecipherable, like a spell in an ancient language that creeps up over the slo-mo trance beats—perfectly tailored for a witchy afterparty.
