After well over a decade of fresh beats, heavy base and some quite serious skanking, Bar Iguana remains one of the only independent bars left in Reading, in a town fast losing its alternative culture. Amidst the gradual decay of independent and alternative businesses witnessed in Reading town centre over the last 20 years, the Iguana remains a strong institution and refuge for those tiring of the mundane mediocrity of the mainstream.
With the bar newly refurbished with murals by a local graffiti artist as well as a spanking new sound system, the Iguana is sounding and looking better than ever. With superb resident DJs and promoters, our music policy is one of versatility and underground culture.
