Korner is an established space for electronic music in Taipei and Taiwan. Home to the legendary Smoke Machine parties and the house-focused Bass Kitchen parties, it has steadily put Taiwan on the global eletronic music map. These days Korner is a mainstay and a solid spot on the schedule of touring DJs. Supported by a strong roster of local residents, Al Burro, Andy Chiu, Umbra and Toska it has recently added Objekt, Shlømo and Aaron Davis from Acid Camp to its roster of residents. These days Korner is looking beyond solely the dance floor and is establishing new nights, parties and festivals. In this, it is broadening the scope of its music and crowd. Festivals and nights such the experimental-live festival OddSound, the monthly Adult Game Club LGBTQ focused parties, and the weekly-Wednesday parties centered on fostering local talent in the smaller Outer Room. In this Korner has proven to be more than solely a club: It has created an open, inclusive space in Taipei, for all.
