2.5D is a social TV station aiming to reconstruct new Japanese pop culture in the 2010′s by collecting creative sources and entertainment from the Internet.
These days, the Internet has filled a great role in fostering the birth of new culture, the role of the main field and/or background, where both good and evil topics are tolerated and spread at an explosively fast speed.
This limitless new generation of people coming out from the Internet, such as musicians, artists, engineers, designers, editors, fashion designers, idols and painters, are influenced by proud Japanese creations such as animation, manga, literature, games and technology.They use social media so freely that it has become a personal medium, as well as a strong source of creativity that should make Japan proud.
2.5D started in May, 2011 at a small studio in Ikejiri Ohashi with the mission of highlighting unique Japanese subcultures in a singular context, so that they would not remain chaotic and disappear if they are scattered apart.
In September, 2012, 2.5D studio relocated to PARCO in Shibuya.
