- Willie Rosado Aka:Willie Rosado Coming out of NYC DJing since 1979Willie Rosado a Producer / DJ from New York City. Willie was always destined to be involved with music after his parents would host traveling ‘big piece bands’ visiting NYC. His social circle soon grew and expanded to encompass up and coming rappers and DJs. Willie then began his own musical journey, it took him to play his only “Earth, Wind, and Fire” LP on repeat for his mother to invest in a second deck and hustling for records to keep them both sane!! The Chicago House and Disco explosion had started. Willie began playing school dances and ‘Sweet 16’ parties, jumping on the newly labeled 'Freestyle', 'Latin House', and 'House' hype played by rising stars like 'Bad Boy Bill'. It didn’t take long before his unique talent for playing Freestyle, Latin House & Disco was recognized and a residency at one of NY’s early institutions ‘Chubby’s’ was offered. Willie left NYC to pursue a decorated military career, serving all across the globe. An overseas posting to Germany saw him swap and sell his ‘Chicago House’ records (a very new genre back then in the conformist country), to boost his ever-expanding vinyl collection; to Korea where he sold his entire set up and record collection (over 800 records) to the local DJ who would not otherwise have access to this music. After a short break to raise a family and finish his career it was inevitable that Willie would need to resurrect his ‘Willie Rosado’ brand and offer his talents to an audience once again. His unique skillset to play on multi-deck setups, both vinyl and digital, have led to him being booked across the US, and even venturing to Ibiza for an audience with Roger Sanchez and played a unique b2b with international star - Doorly - on the party island. Willie has also been working hard in the studio, his Latin tinged, house music leans heavily to his past but with a fresh ‘tech’ outlook, appealing to the newer breed of music ‘stalwarts’. A heavily supported release on Ian Bland’s ’Maison Records’ was released, a 2 track EP on “Pogo House Records” and another release on “Whore House Records” with several other quality productions forming part of an imminent release schedule. With bookings across his new home of Arizona and beyond, Willie and his brand has had a huge 2019 and a strong return to a heavily contested scene that has rightly recognized his talents from the likes of Mikey Mooguire from "Wunderground" and so on.
