- A DJ with a passion for infectious grooves, Alena Arpels fuses disco, boogie, funk and house creating an unforgettable experience for dancers.London-based DJ, dancer and record collector, Alena Arpels DJs regularly across the UK and Europe, sharing the stage with such legendary DJs as Bill Brewster, Dave Lee, Nancy Noise, Luke Una, Norman Jay MBE, Kon and many more. Alena is a confident and experienced DJ, who is skilled in delivering brilliant party sets, spinning for Up On The Roof in Brixton, The Sweeties at The Standard, Apricot Ballroom Sound System and many more. She equally enjoys expansive marathon vinyl-only sessions at the best audiophile venues and private members’ clubs – taking it from dinner to a packed dance floor at Brilliant Corners, Bambino, Groucho, Spiritland, Seed Library and Caia. A passionate broadcaster, Alena is a resident radio DJ at Global Soul Radio and The BoAt Pod, London's famous boat radio station based in Little Venice. She is a regular guest on Run Dem Radio, Brum Radio and Soho Radio, sharing her love of rare and privately pressed, unknown and long forgotten records, as well as new releases across all things groove. Her record collection, taste and knowledge of brilliant obscure music have caught the attention of superstar DJ Dave Lee, Z Records, who’s invited her to select tracks for the 9th installment of the cult “Under The Influence” compilation series, following on from Red Greg, Paul Phillips, James Glass, Nick The Record, Sean P, Faze Action, Winston and Woody Bianchi.
