- My vision has always been to inspire and move people to dance and escape their daily routine. Creating minimal sound progressions in the musical spectrum for people to enjoy with minimum effort and maximum experience.A long long time ago in a galaxy far far away he was born and raised by two loving parents in a small but bohemian Romanian town. His ear was captivated by the sound of vinyl even from the cradle as his father, a perfect pitch ear violinist, only managed to put him to sleep by playing classical music on 12" records. This made his ears very sensible for quality music. As he grew up he listened to all sorts of music in the cassette tape era. His childhood soundtrack made a solid base with bands like AC/DC, Metallica, Iron Maiden, this got him the feel for dark sound. In middle school he started taking piano lessons in order to understand more about how music is performed. While still under age his older sister and her friends took him clubbing for the first time. Luck made it happen so a neighbour owned the biggest local club and he took him to visit and introduced him to Mike T the resident dj of that place. After showing him the professional dj booth he handed him a (very rare) cd with house music. So that was the first contact with this environment. Fascinated by the new and extremely cool experience, he slowly started to develop a passion that was going to last a lifetime for electronic music. Later in high school popularity kicked in and he was attracted to hip hop culture and for most of his high-school years he started a breakdancing crew and attended various national b-boy battles. The music from old-school break beats and funky grooves got locked into his system and dancing became his second nature of expression. This is where he first started to play music for his fellow class mates. It wasn't long after this that he got his first residency in his home town club. After high-school he moved to Timisoara and went to Med school in order to become a dentist. That didn't work out for him as he was more attracted to the club scene and at that time there was an after hours club that played deep and tech-house music. There were very few music producers at that time. The MIDI controller era was at its dawn Ableton 6 and Reason 3 just came out so he started messing with these software programs. and felt the need for some buttons in order to help him express his musical skill. He then decided to drop out of college and start getting serious about music production. Took several online courses in order to gain as much knowledge as possible in an youtube free era. Started his own recording studio and his own digital record label featuring first upcoming artists like Herck and Moratu. Experimenting with sounds and designing several sample packs quickly attracted the ears of a professional sound designer from his hometown DAN MAD. He introduced him to Loopmasters head Matt Pelling and his first bestseller sample pack happened fast. More private events followed and a reunion with his first electronic music influencer Mike T had a very big turn as they teamed up to form their DATM crew. They moved to Ibiza for a full season and played a summer residency at esVive Bar & Experience venue in Figueretes town from sunny Eivissa. This experience helped shaping the sound further as he was balancing through the main room minimal-techno scene and the underground minimal sound. When he got back he went on tour in his own country and started a momentum going for his name. Also his first live performance followed as the Detonator. A few years he bounced between his home town and Iasi, the second biggest city in Romania where they established an event brand, Overlay Events and grew the scene by playing among names like Vera, Nima Gorji, Valentino Kanzyani, and all the Romanian dj's. In 2015 He moved to Bucharest and started a new life building his new mature solo career as Alexandru a project that coagulates all his knowledge of music production and his musical culture accumulated so far.
