- Ukrainian born, Brooklyn raised. Kofman has a collection of music spanning back to the early 1900's. "Genre-less" and with a knack for the weird Kofman takes pride in curating delicious sound journeys through time and space.A hard core vinyl collector and turntablist who began mashing records in 1998 at the time when house and electronic music was exploding on to the global stage. NYC had its own ecosystem and style which Kofman adapted early on by listening to marathon sets from the likes of Danny Tenaglia, Masters at Work, Todd Terry and many others. Clubs such as Twilo, Vinyl and the Limelight began attracting international DJs which gave Kofman a glimpse into the sounds from different parts of the world. Kofman soon became a regular in the NYC nightlife scene and established himself as regular at some of the same clubs he used to visit. This time on the other side of the booth Kofman learned the difficult craft of building and keeping a vibe on the dancefloor. Many took notice of Kofmans unique style and in turn he was able to be a part of some legendary events and parties including Burning Man, Electric Zoo Festival, Awakenings, BEP Festival, Minus Zero, Sunday School for Degenerates just to name a few. Kofman also got to play some of the most legendary NYC nightclubs including the Limelight, Tunnel, Pacha, Crobar, Output, Space, Cielo and many more. Now a seasoned veteran of the game with more than twenty years of experience Kofman is in the studio working on projects that culminate his years of knowledge and understanding of the dancefloor culture.
