- Alex did his first steps producing electronic music already in his youth. Experiments with self-made oscillators, noise generators, synthesizers and sequencers he was always in searching for new sounds. As techno found the way in his hometown in the ea..EN: Alex is the do it yourself man in terms of audio electronic, always searching for new sound he is creating hardware audio units since his early youth. By his passion for electronic it is not far away to electronic music, as techno came to his ear for the first time he was flashed by the new sound. That should be the music he his living for. So he bought the first techno records and started as dj and promoter of techno events in his home country in the early 90ies. But this was not the beginning of his dj career at all, already during his school time Alex served the good sound from two cassette decks. The sets have been influenced by the most important electronic music bands of the 80ies. For example Depeche Mode, Yello… In 2006 it was time for an own label: 9Volt-Musik is a platform for the kind of music that he calls freaky techno, a sound between straight, groovy and funky beats with lots of crazy elements and ideas. Not only for one genre of techno, it is open for different stuff but it should have something special. This year the label celebrates the 30th release on vinyl. During the years Alex changed the dj more and more to a live artist, mostly performing live solo or with the project Cannibal Cooking Club, founded together with Error in 1999. Since some years he is offering mastering for vinyl and digital. Focussed on the individual wishes of the labels/artists to make the best of the tracks in a creative way. D: Wenns um Audio Elektronik geht ist Alex unser Mann, immer auf der Suche nach neuen Sounds, baut er Audio Hardware seit seiner frühen Jugend. Das diese bei seinen Produktionen und natürlich auch beim Mastering eingesetzt werden ist ja schon fast selbstverständlich. Bei so viel Liebe zur Elektronik muss es einfach Techno sein, was er produziert. So kam es Anfang der 90er Jahre auch in seine Heimatstadt Plauen einzog, zu ersten Parties wo er dann auch als DJ auflegte. Musik war schon immer sein Ding. Die futuristische Musik von Depeche Mode, Yello, Art Of Noise war es z.B., die ihn beeinflusste. Im Jahre 2006 war es dann Zeit für ein eigenes Label: 9Volt-Musik, als Plattform für seine Tracks und befreundeter Künstler. Freaky Techno ist vielleicht der beste Ausdruck, den Stil des Labels zu beschreiben. Mittlerweile spielt er ausschließlich live solo oder auch mit seinem Kollegen Error als Cannibal Cooking Club. Seit ein paar Jahren betreibt er sein eigenes Mastering Studio, dabei ist ihm die enge Zusammenarbeit mit den Labels und Künstlern wichtig, um besonders auf deren Wünsche und Vorstellungen eingehen zu können.
