- Hong Kong-based DJ & producer Alex Nude is the Music Director of Cassio, Hong Kong’s most respected venue. Previously, Nude held residencies at Scorpios and Moni in MykonosAlex Nude is the sound of Deep, Melodic, and Afro House. He seeks to explore the vast worlds of grooves and melodies creating an energetic, profound, and refreshing sound. Aiming for dancefloors around the world and seeking to inspire and tease the imagination, his soundscapes take you from the warm Aegean islands to the cold Nordic winters; from the thickest tropical jungles to the soul of urban heartbeats. Having DJed for two decades, Alex started with a passion for vinyls in northern Greece. From 2013, he was based in the legendary island of Mykonos for eight years playing in iconic venues Scorpios and Moni. In 2019 Alex was brought to Hong Kong by industry trailblazer Cassio, which saw a meteoric rise to become the city’s leading music venue under his supervision as Music Director. As Music Director and Full-Time resident Alex has become one of the most well-known performing artists in Hong Kong. In 2020 Alex was invited to join the Spin Sum roster and immediately established himself as one of its leading artists with a series of exciting and powerful performances. Alex has performed in London, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Sydney, Belgrade, Cyprus, Mykonos, and Athens alongside the industry’s biggest artists the likes of Joe Claussell, Âme, Osunlade, Solomun, Boddhi Satva, Karizma, Bedouin, Manoo, Toto Chiavetta, Nina Kravitz, Peggy Gou, Sifa, Dimitri From Paris and more. 2018 saw Alex making his debut as a producer, releasing on Offering Recordings, collaborating with label boss Boddhi Satva and Djeff. As one half of the production duo Blaq Theory, Nude has released on Depth Recordings. In 2020 Blaq Theory released an exceptional melodic remix of Valer Den Bit’s Desires of Mind. Alex Nude can take credit for bringing European House Music influences to the rapidly expanding Asian electronic music landscape.
