- Alexxo's journey into the underground electronic dance music scene began in his late teens, where he was heavily influenced by artists like Laurent Garnier, James Zabiela, and local producer Asvajit.Alexxo was first exposed to the underground electronic dance music industry in his late teens; having been deeply influenced by Laurent Garnier, James Zabiela and local producer Asvajit he started off his self taught journey as a bedroom dj wholater mastered his art, with a special affinity to funk and jazz influencedsounds that you see now in modern contemporary music, his signature genresrange from mid paced deep house and tech house to banging minimaltunes and borderlining taste of techno. He became a fast favourite in theindustry and club circuit given that his sound had a very groovy edge to it making him a veryversatile artist, in comparison to his contemporaries. He was one of the 4 top finalists of the TNL Onstage DJ Spinoff 2013, and by that time he had made himself a fixture in the local underground music scene and also in the top clubs like Kama, Clique and Amuseum. Alexxo is a regular headliner for the main electronic music brands in Sri Lanka like Bang Bang, Sunset, 123BPM, I Love Una, Fantasy, VL Project and Off-Shore Life. Playing alongside world renowned artists such as M.A.N.D.Y, Dexter Kane, Blind Minded, Sonny Wharton, Ben Coda, SHFT, Ash Roy, FLATBOYS, Tony Montana and Paul Thomas. Ever since 2015 he has been apart of the Bang Bang Collective, a popular brand, known to be one of the most influential in the underground music entertainment industry in the country. He has now set his sights on producing his own sound, having his first releases coming out on Rogue Decibels (UK) and Jambutek Recordings (SL).
