  • Romantic electronic music inspired by the late 70s and early 80s - space synth / cosmic disco / psychedelic / dreamwave / ambient / italo
    'An unsung herald of the contemporary kosmische and synth pop scene' (Inverted Audio) Andrei has been active since 2002 - he gained prominence and critical acclaim with various local indie bands in Moscow, then later as remixer for various indie groups, such as Australian Midnight Juggernauts, as well as the author of re-edits of forgotten Soviet funk and disco gems. In May 2017 Andrei Orlov released his solo debut EP ‘Invisible Processes’ on eclectic Italian label Opilec Music (I-Robots, Daniele Baldelli, Alexander Robotnick, Todd Terje, Prins Thomas, Lindstrom, Giorgio Moroder and many others). The release gained radio and dj support in Europe and USA, including DJ Harvey, The Blessed Madonna, Curses and more. The follow-up vinyl EP ‘Something New, Which Surprises Even Ourselves’ appeared in September 2017 on the French imprint ‘Musiques Electroniques Actuelles’, the title song ‘Lifting Body’ became part of the soundtrack of the film ‘A Pure Place’ by German-Greek director Nikias Chryssos, which premiered in 2021. In May 2020 Andrei Orlov released a new italo-influenced 7-track EP called ‘Sunday Melodies’, tracks from which have gained dj support from some of the most well-known names in the industry, including Nick Warren, John Digweed, Justin Robertson, Les Yeux Orange, Severino Panzetta and many others.
