- Arun's versatility as a DJ is really proven by his track-record of work: his sounds range from balearic & downtempo, to deep, raw, afro-influenced and chunky house grooves.“Refusing to be pigeon-holed, Arun R can seamlessly drift from balearic vibes to raw deep house, taking his listeners on ethereal journeys of sound and music” (Karma Klique). Keeping things on the friendly side of eclectic and esoteric, Arun’s musical repertoire as a DJ stretches over almost 20 years of discovery. Whether it’s deep, off-kilter, downtempo, afro-tinged or Balearic, Arun has grounded his feet strongly with a sound that exudes dubby warmth, melodic bliss and ethnic-tinged house grooves, layered with elements of acid, broken-beat & soulful bliss. Tastemakers and connoisseurs alike have thrown their hands up in appreciation of Arun’s voyage-esque sets that are seamlessly tied together with his profoundly developed skills of the craft. He currently operates Mixmag Asia as their Creative & Business Development Director, overseeing an Asia-centric content platform that aims to raise awareness and stature of the regional scene he’s grown to be a formidable part of. His recent gig invitations have included Sonar Hong Kong, Clockenflap (Hong Kong), Rainforest Pavilion, Wonderfruit (Thailand), Karma Kastle (Thailand), Café del Mar (Thailand), Saferoom (Thailand), The Lighthouse (Vietnam), Secret Villa Party by BlackOut Agency (Singapore), Broma / Vitamin D parties (Vietnam), HAUS by Neverland (Bali), Ku de Ta (Bali), Potato Head (Singapore, Hong Kong), and Kitty Su (India).
