As the founder of rural, the open air event which takes place in summer, he has consistently provided new musical experiences for the people. The concept of rural is something he keeps in mind when he performs. He is also behind the party “addictedloop”, the foundation and the groundworks of rural, which has hosted Japan debuts of many techno artists in the past, and have recently started up again with their first party in a long time that took place at Contact. In recent years, after some time away, Atsushi began his active role as a DJ again, captivating the crowds at Taipei’s Organik Festival, Thailand’s Karma Kastle and Wonderfruit, Bassiani in Tbilisi, and The Block in Tel Aviv. At Wonderfruit, as the curator for the Catch 428 Stage, he gathered influential figures from various Asian countries. While techno remained a focal point, he presented variations of the main concept over the four-day festival. Additionally, he demonstrated his expertise by evolving the festival's underground aspect in terms of production, including the sound team with whom they had shared years of experiences at rural open air, which garnered positive feedbacks. テクノというダンスミュージックにおいて彼が何よりも重きをおく”フロアに喫驚をもたらす”ことを念頭においたプレイは、時にオーディエンスを新たな境地へと導く。 今では夏の到来を告げるオープンエアーイベント、ruralのファウンダーとして、自身のパフォーマンス時と同じ理念、オーディエンスへの新たな音楽体験を常に提供してきた。 近年、DJとしての活動を再度活発化、台湾のOrganikフェスティバルを始め、タイのKarma KastleフェスティバルやWonderfruit、TbilisiのBassianiやTel AvivのThe Blockなど海外でも聴衆を虜にしている。 Wonderfruitでは、キュレーターとして、アジア各国の要人を担当ステージへ招聘するとともに、テクノを軸としつつも、4日間に渡りコンセプトにバラエティを見せ、また長年ruralで共に時間を共有してきた音響チームをはじめ、演出面においても当フェスティバルにおけるアンダーグラウンドな側面に進化を加え好評を獲得、その手腕を発揮した。
