- Berna is an experienced selector, music producer and event promoter, co-founder of Underyourseat label. Playing alternatively in London and Gran Canaria, his quality sets are imbued with timeless house to the very finest of micro, acid and breakbeat.Born and breed in Gran Canaria, Berna has been formulated to seek and care for underground music, building over 15 years its own relevance as one of the key figures in the electronic scene of the Spanish island with residencies at the local Velvet, Rebel and Mood clubs. Merging a unique flair and methodical ear, Berna’ sophisticated, effective and dynamic sets are deeply marked from timeless house to the very finest of micro, acid and breakbeat. As well as an experienced selector, Berna has released colourful remixes for Warm Keys EP and Reverse EP, altogether with his own production, the sensorial and striking eponymous Dipstick EP, combining groovy notes to a deep house imprint. His friendships in the island and support around the world have brought around him an authentic community of music lovers. In 2008, he joins Javier Carballo to create Underyourseat, record label and event agency, proving the worth of bringing international DJs to the island while supporting the local scene with underground music events such as the Soundgardens, MTRC and more. Since 2017, Berna expands his artistic horizons discovering outer cities like Barcelona, London and Berlin. He has now been living in the UK capital for few years, participating in the local raves and parties. Berna keeps in the lookout for spine-tingling sounds as well as those flickering, meaningful experiences in the underground scene while he continues building his trajectory as a DJ and music producer.
