- DJ BlackJean was born and raised in a township called Ga-Rankuwa in Pretoria, South Africa. and he is a seasoned music lover and one of the most influential DJs and Producers in the House Music scene.BlackJean`s adventure in music started in the early 2000’s when he was studying Sound Engineering at C.O.P.A Edenvale (Campus of Performing Arts) and Digital Sound Engineering at Damelin College. His passion for music is unmistakable with an incredible depth and a unique style on the turntables. BlackJean runs a recording studio in his hometown Ga-Rankuwa, he calls it "Jeans Records" were he records his music and gives other artists and musicians a chance to record their music. He is the founder of a live band called 60 Hertz Project on which he produced and remixed hits such as “Capricorn EP” and “Tapta Beach EP” in 2009 and since then he never looked back. In a short few year, his catalogue has seen huge success on television, in nightclubs, and on radios globally. His recent works include a full studio album by his band "60 Hertz Project" and the album is called "Beat To Soul". BlackJean’s music has been released on world-class house music labels such as GOGO Music Label, 60 Hertz Records, DeepTone Recordings, Deeper Shades Of House (DSOH), More Bass Entertainment, Peng Africa and many more.
