- Techno/House producers and DJs from Copenhagen, Dänemark.Copenhagen based house/techno duo, Blagger, founded April '07. Both members have been dj'ing, and making housemusic/techno during the last 15 years, and have now joined forces. The mantra is very simple: Make great tracks, and have lots of fun. They recently made no. 3 at Beatport, as well as no. 3 on the over-all album chart on iTunes, with their remix of Trentemøllers Gush. A couple of new tracks are scheduled to be released on Tic Tac Toe, on Kowtow and on Rippertons Perspective label, very shortly. Blagger has a very distinct style and sound. It's somehow very broadminded, in an almost schizophrenic way, one might say - collecting inspiration in warm south-american music genres (such as the sambas more filthy and stripped down littlebrother; murga) - yet their tracks are very precise and manipulating, as in the more chilly Berlin techno scene, taking the skilled clubber by his feets and slamming him to the floor. Old and obscure samples of indian chanting, rusty cowbells and old blues vocals, are glued together with uncompromised grooves and a painstakingly careful and accurate selection of modern percussion sounds. All this under one motto: Trust your groove! On a really-not-need-to-know basis, the two guys has been living in the exact same room in a house share before they even knew each other. Strange, you say? Well, not so much when you know that they have never lived more than 500 meters apart the last 10 years, though they've only known each other 3 of them. Lars is a Dj, a Vj, a producer, a graphic designer, a clubpromoter, a lover and a fighter and has nearly 20 years of experience in the club circuit. He has enjoyed large success with club events like Okyo, Fanclub and We Love House. As resident DJ at the aforementioned clubs, he has played alongside Dennis Ferrer, Derrick May, Nick Curly, Ripperton, Switch, Yousef, Joey Negro to name a few. Furthermore he has also guested clubs in Tokyo, London and Brighton. In addition, Lars is also Label Manager at Connect Four Records. He plays a mixture of techno and house with a warm and human feel. He has a history in US house from Chicago and New York and mix it up with European Techno and Minimal. Artists like Derrick May, Laurent Garnier and Luciano comes to mind when you hear a set from Lars. Simon is a Dj and producer as well, and he also earn his living as a graphic designer. Actually, this is where the two fellows met in the first place. He has been playing at various venues and clubs all over Copenhagen, and has a very creative and persuasive Dj style, with a deep, warm and percussive track selection.
