    Brian Kage, a pivotal figure in Detroit’s techno scene, continues to shape the soundtrack of the city’s ongoing renaissance. Born and raised in Detroit, Kage has consistently amplified the authentic sounds of Motor City techno, earning him recognition as one of DJ magazine’s “10 Detroit Producers Keeping the Sound of the Motor City Alive.” As the co-founder of Beretta Music, Kage has mentored and influenced a generation of internationally acclaimed DJs and producers, including Seth Troxler, Ryan Crosson, and Luke Hess. His extensive discography includes releases on prestigious labels like Omar S’s FXHE, Carl Craig’s Planet-E, and Steve Bug’s PokerFlat, among others. Alongside Luke Hess, Kage forms the underground dance duo "Reference," performing in esteemed dance venues globally. His solo release, “The Arc EP” on his Michigander label, received accolades for its uplifting melodic techno style, celebrating Detroit’s spirit. This EP, alongside his collaboration with James Garcia on the track ‘Shut Your Eyes,’ which DJ magazine hailed as “one of 2015’s best house tracks,” highlights his innovative contributions to electronic music. Brian’s newest project is his debut album "Timeless Times." "Timeless Times" is a masterful blend of classic house rhythms with the distinct edge of Detroit techno. Through this ambitious 19-track collection, Kage weaves a sonic tapestry through emotional landscapes, marked by ambient, and personal nostalgic vignettes that evoke a sense of timeless musical exploration. When not producing his own music, Kage works at KageMastering, where he mixes, masters, and engineers music for both local talents and international stars, including Delano Smith, Norm Talley, and OB Ignitt. Through his music and mentorship, Brian Kage remains a cornerstone of Detroit’s musical heritage, orchestrating the soundtrack for its vibrant and ever-evolving cultural landscape.
