- We are the Broken Hookers. Darren and Jay to be precise. Middlesbrough is our hometown. We enjoy playing music to strangers, friends and lovers. We are also the creators of the renowned Podcast ArePeopleReal which presents special guest mixes from DJ'..We are the Broken Hookers. Darren and Jay to be precise. Middlesbrough is our hometown. We enjoy playing music to strangers, friends and lovers.
