He has always been a music freak and everything had started when Carsten Glaubitz detected his
preference for funky Grooves and disco sounds by the End of the Seventies. Being influenced by Soul
and Funk Glaubitz finally succeeded to the House Sound, that was brought to Germany from the
States in 1985. From then on his interest in labels likes TRAXX, Easy Street, Dance Mania or artists like
Todd Terry, Tony Humphries or Blaze, to whom he was searching for in the record stores, increased
weekly. He began to invest his money in vinyl - but that alone soon was not sufficient enough for him
and he started his career as a DJ in 1986. From 1986 to 1991 he worked as a DJ in Clubs around
Cologne and Düsseldorf. Besides putting on some tunes he started working at the Record Store
Music Man in Cologne in 1989, his first Drumcomputer he purchased in 1987.
From the time on his career was unstoppable and his stations as a DJ are more than represent able.
These include Clubs like the Ratinger Hof in Düsseldorf, where he had been the Resident DJ in the
early nineties, as well as former Top-Clubs throughout Germany. His numerous gigs abroad, like in
Mallorca or Ibiza, in Marbella or Greece as well as playing on label parties like Peppermint Jam
helped him to fastly achieve a good reputation far beyond the borders of Cologne. In Cologne he
became a legend during the 4 years he had been the Resident DJ in the hottest in Germany at that
time, the club Neuschwanstein. The Club offered a top class program every weekend, especially the
so called Club Vanity where Glaubitz regularly excited the audience working together with well-known
DJ´s like like David Morales, Tony Humphries, Jo T Vanelli, Roger Sanchez or Master at Work.
At that time Glaubitz already produced own tracks and worked in his music studio on various
productions and Remixes. His international breakthrough came in 1999 when he produced a
worldwide summer hymn that was represented in all dance charts and played in clubs all around the
world with his project "Glaubitz & Roc - Sunshine Day". The close collaboration with different labels
combined with his comprehensive know-how, which he acquired during the 8 years working at the
record shop Music Man, helped him to become A & R Manager at the record label Coconut Record
GmbH. As the A & R of the label Tonfabrik he created the project “Adama of N cast“, with which Mr.
Glaubitz was also involved in quite a few Top Ten Hits. In 2008 he achieved a good reputation in
Spain, when he was working as the Music Art Director of the club “OTC over the clouds” in Marbella.
At the moment Carsten Glaubitz is playing in clubs in Cologne and Düsseldorf and is working in the
studio on new releases.
