- It all started with one of those Chicago Trax. Bam Bam Bam... Cavaan is the alter ego of two guys: Stephan & Clemente. The duo debuts in 2013 with their very much beloved project and have proved to be one of the most promising rising stars to emerge..Lieb already has been behind and upfront on a variety of dance music's most-cherrished productions. He produced on Raum...musik as well as on Force Inc, Forcetracks and Resopal. His percussive and driven house/techno tracks appeared on Richie Hawtin’s Closer to the Edit as well as on Robag Wruhmes and Luciano’s diverse Mix Cd’s. He remixed Luomo, G-Man and M. Schaffhäuser amongst others and toured extensively @ Mutek, Fabric, Weetamix, Panoramabar, Robert Johnson, Fusion- Festival etc. just to name a few spots. Together under the Cavaan moniker they describe their style as a mix of deep house, reduced and groovy techno with a funk flavor. A blend between Chicago's abstract track-modes, Detroit's futurism pads, Windsor’s minimalistic approach and the warmth of deep, deep dub. Cavaan have been focusing much of their time on new productions for labels like COCOON and their TREAT YOUR DJ RIGHT imprint.
