- Washington DC-based DJ/Producer Chris Burns.By showcasing his diverse music production skills and an original DJ style influenced by the disco culture of yesteryear, Chris Burns has pioneered his way through the DC creative landscape. He has received numerous awards and critical acclaim for his efforts by outlets such as The Washington Post, Washington City Paper, DCist, Brightest Young Things and others. In 2012 and 2013, Chris put out original EP releases on Ultra Nate’s 410 Paradox Underground, on Mike Simonetti’s MIKE and New Jersey Records labels and on his own vinyl label, Mysteries of the Mind. Burns has been recently involved with official remix work for Angie Stone, The System, Son of Sound, Hubert Street, Brett/The Dance Party, Vjuan Allure and Jason Walker. Burns is the former resident DJ at U Street hotspot Lost Society (2011-2013) and is regularly called upon to play at some of DC’s most acclaimed venues, including U Street Music Hall, Warehouse Loft, 930 Club and the 930 Club Backbar. He is also affiliated with the Deep Secrets organization and helps organize, promote and play with international bookings in unique spaces around the city.
